The article is about your standard important government dude + not so important non government woman except this specific article chronicles her Facebook usage. It seems that the social web is one of the first stops for journalists these days.

I agree. It amazes me that what in the past would be considered frivilous sources are now the first think news anchors show. Items such has blog reports, facebook/myspace pages, and The Daily Show are now becoming very common in "serious" news reports.
